System Engineer







- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

- Proactively ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability, performance and security

- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with your colleagues to implement fixes

- Setup and maintain redundancy and backup strategies

- Translate and implement the best practices for system security

- On-site interventions for new installations, maintenance and incidents

- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks, e.g. health checks

- Participate in the design and setup of new infrastructure, e.g. NAS migrations, datacenter rehosting, cloud migrations

- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support

- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

- Document procedures and installations. System and license inventory management



- Solid experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows based environments

- Very strong knowledge of Domain and Active Directory management, from A-Z

- Operating Systems: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10

- Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, DNS, DHCP, FTP,

- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, ESXI, vSphere,)

- Experience with system management tools as for monitoring (PRTG), antivirus (Symantec), backup systems (Acronis), Patching (WSUS), access management (Varonis)

- NAS systems (QNAP, Synology, Windows storage)

- Cloud experience, preferably in AWS

- Good knowledge of MS Sharepoint

- Knowledge of MS SQL and Oracle

- Good knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, Routing, VPN, SSL, proxy,)

- Translate security requirement in best practices and translate Firewall flows towards network team

- Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linus systems
